Until June 20th, the ISSEY MIYAKE’s gleaming new flagship shop in Paris presents a new installation ‘Ballooon’, created by Florence Doléac.

‘Ballooon’ is an inflatable salon - made of fishing nets containing multicolored balls - where you can enjoy reading books, listening to music or simply laying down to rest from your shopping journey.

The playfully conceptual salon perfectly reflects French designer Florence Doléac’s work. Fruit bowls that look like children’s toys, chairs that turn into carpets, stools designed as mushrooms, the 40-year-old designs is obsessed with how we engage with objects. Rather than try to change the way we live, Doléac attempts to make us rethink routines, actions and scenarios.

  • Hi, I was searching the web and I saw your site. Keep up the excellent work.

  • Though I would’ve loved it much more if you added a relevant video or at least pictures to back up the explanation, I still thought that your write-up quite helpful. It’s usually hard to make a complicated matter seem very easy. I enjoy your weblog and will sign up to your feed so I will not miss anything. Fantastic content
